I am a Physics teacher in the UK for pupils in years 7 – 13 (ages 11 – 18). I am a doctor of Physics and I previously taught bachelor, master, and doctoral level Physics at university for almost two decades. My approach is simple: If a pupil thinks like a Physicist, the grades should naturally flow.
As well as teaching Physics, I am very much interested in pedagogy and didactics and I have spent more than twenty years testing out different ideas in the classroom to try to maximise student outcomes. I am a true believer in evidence-based research and continuous improvement.
This blog is for me to gain better understanding into teaching Physics and to share ideas with others.
I hope you enjoy!
